Herpes Zoster: Famtrex is used for treatment
sharp herpes zoster (pebble), treatment or suppression current sexual
herpes in immunocompetent patients, and treatment current

1. A herpes zoster
Immunocompetent patients
In treatment of a herpes zoster an infection a recommended oral dosage
from famtrex is or 750mg once daily within 7 days or 250 mg each 8 hours
within 7 days.
Immunocompromised patients: 500 mg famtrex three times daily within 10 days.
famtrex should be started immediately after the diagnosis of a herpes zoster,
preferably within 48 hours after the beginning of a rash.
2. A sexual herpes
The first episode of a sexual herpes
Immunocompetent patients: 250 mg famtrex three times daily within 5 days,
started as soon as possible after the beginning of damage.
Immunocompromised patients: 500 mg twice daily within 7 days.
